In this study, based on a nationally representative sample of 1001 people 15 to 80 years old, several variables indicate that most people living in Norway will follow public authorities’ advices. As many as 85 percent said that they trusted public authorities’ advices regarding the corona virus situation. Only 17 percent said they had been hoarding foods and groceries, but every second consumer (50%) said that they had extra foods stored at home. Seven percent can be considered as vulnerable due to food shortage. People in this group live in households without extra foods stored, and in addition, they can neither rely on foods delivered by family and friends, nor by online grocery stores, if they become infected by Covid-19 or need to enter quarantine. People living in households with poor financials are highly overrepresented by those vulnerable to food shortage. As many as 40 percent agree that the pandemic is good for the environment and climate because people travel and buy less. Among young people (15 -29 years), 53 percent agree with this statement.en
